Case Studies


Target Audience
The target audiences are both the existing fan base and the general student body. 

Purpose
With their playoffs opportunity on the line, the video's message is to show an energized and hard-working Men's Soccer Team ready to play, which would encourage fan attendance and support.

Results
A quick ~4,500 views overnight earned the UMASS Men's Soccer Team their largest home crowd of the season, as they won the game with an overtime goal and secured their playoffs spot.


Target Audience
This particular video has a much larger target audience, including perspective students, alumni, and the families of all students, former, current, and incoming.

Purpose  
As a unique and extremely specialized academy, few families get a real life look into their student's careers at MMA. As one of the few maritime colleges, even fewer people actually understand what it means to be a cadet in a regimented program. The "A Day in the Life" theme intends to allow viewers to look into the typical day of a cadet at MMA, to educate and entertain those at home.

Result
While only ~1,500 students are enrolled in MMA, the video received an astounding ~60,000 views on the school's Facebook page within a week of coming out. The results - full MMA community engagement; hundreds of shares, tagging friends and families in the comments, engaging in conversations in the comments, reminiscing about time at MMA, and giving everyone an understanding of what cadet life looks like on a day-to-day basis.

Current students, graduating class and their families

Purpose
Graduation is not only a celebration of that day, but a reminder of what was and what is to come. The video intends to briefly tell the story of several cadets, their classmates, and their four years together as tightly-knit regiments, while also foreshadowing the success that comes with an education from MMA.

Result
While most college event recap videos tend to be dull, our work excels at an energetic and interesting retelling of the story of graduation, especially for the family and friends who were unable to attend the ceremony. As the students move on from MMA, this graduation video serves as a tribute to the hard work over the last four years and as a toast to the success to come. 
 


Target Audience
Athletes, fans, rivals, and the entire school

Purpose
The intention of an energetic athletics promotion is to show both perspective students and rivals that Mass Maritime Academy is excellent in all of its programs, not just in marine engineering. Students who have committed to both a difficult academic career and an exhausting athletic one should be honored.

Result
With an electrifying video, fan and player energy and morale around campus rose greatly. Athletes were proud to be playing hard for their school and getting recognized for their athletic accomplishments. Students would pull our crew aside during other events to ask how and when the next athletics promotional video would come out. The video itself was well received online and in the cinematography world.
